Are you interested in helping to get out the vote for progressive legislators this fall? AFT-Oregon, in coordination with the other AFT state affiliates in Oregon, is now hiring Temporary Political Organizers (TPOs). TPOs will learn the fundamentals of member and political organizing campaigning to work with our coalition partners to engage union members in the electoral process. TPOs will participate in key aspects of campaign work, including door-to-door canvassing and phone banking.
Compensation
TPOs are temporary, non-exempt hourly positions supporting the election as part-time or full-time non-benefit organizers. All positions will be compensated at $25.00 per hour, or $1,000 a week based upon working 40 hours per week.
TPOs can begin as early as September 1st and will continue through Election Day, November 4th.
